I would argue that iGoogle is more than fun – I use it as a quick-view aggregator for RSS feeds on various research threads (each allocated to a separate tab), a search tool aggregator (Wikipedia, IMDB, currency converter, etc.), and an organizer (calendar, to do list). I’ve used it before as a staff communication device and bulletin board as well, and there are libraries developing catalogue widgets for use by their clients. For me, it’s meta nature makes it Google’s most useful tool.
